Almas Designer

Almas Designer is a RAD tool for wxWidgets library. It still needs a lot of work, but with around 50 widgets, it should be enough for designing simple to complex GUIs.

Almas is near version 1.0, any comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Features:

Most of the common widgets are available now
Extensible through plugins
Menubar and Toolbar support
C++ & XRC Code Generation
Support for event handlers
It will use KDevelop cpp/h templates (if a template directory exists in the project dir, templates will be used)
Supports many properties and events

I've written this program using these libraries:

wxWidgets 2.6.1
wxPropertyGrid 1.1.0

This program is mainly developed for Linux, but it is fairly usable under Windows. As the code is not platform dependent, it may work under others OSes too.

What is Almas?!

"Almas" is a Persian word which means Diamond. I've selected this name because I like this name! :)

About me

I'm Hedayat Vatankhah, an Iranian student. I live in Isfahan, and I'm studying software engineering. I really like programming and Linux. I've selected wxWidgets because I don't like to use Windows for programming, but I like to be able to write Windows programs.
